Working Dog Weekend with Denis Hanrahan

Denis grew up on a cattle property west of Rockhampton QLD. He has worked his own dogs, horses & cattle for the entirety of his life. 

Since the 80's, Denis has been competing in dog trial's. Winning numerous trials with dogs he has bred & trained himself, as well as purchased dogs, this began the start of Denis & his wife Rosslyn's Dee Oss Border Collie Cattle Working Stud.

"I have a lot of belief in brains and bites in a dog, but biting for a reason / Biting only when needed not all the time.

Control and discipline in a dog is paramount in my mind.

With controlled and disciplined dogs sustains my philosophy of Cattle in the Yard is Money in the Bank." Says Denis. 

Mr Hanraham has been doing demonstrations at Agricultural Shows, Beef Weeks and Ag Field Days on ducks, sheep and cattle showed the versatility, strengths and softness of a well trained dog.

His clinics range from selection of pup to all phases of dog work for the everyday (paddock) dog to dog trialling if applicable.

Our greatest pleasure is seeing our purebred border collie pups with years of breeding being purchased and going to satisfied customers and good homes.

Denis will be at the Kilcoy Cow Horse Club the first weekend of May (1st & 2nd). 

This clinic will be suitable for any level of working dog or pup. There will be livestock to work over the weekend. 

Tickets are limited

Fully catered for the weekend, camping facilities available. 

All dogs must be restrained at all times. 

$325 Deposit to be paid when booking, remaining moneys must be paid 1 week before the start of the clinic. 

Any dogs attending must be up to date with vaccinations, worming & flea and tick free.
